Just a note

Well I just wanted to say how floored I am.  The service has just hit 250 users I never expected this to even reach 100 when I started it.  I never expected it to be this successful simply because I created this service from Mineshafter which did not have a huge amount of users to begin with.  I thought that I might only get a fraction of those people to switch over.

This service is growing in size every day little by little, and that is motivating me to make it better.  I have some great ideas in store for you guys, thank you for the support you have all shown so far.

Skin Management Phase 1

Okay so I just rolled out the first major skin management update.  Now you can see the skins you have uploaded, switch between them easily, and delete them.  There is an edit button there, but at the moment it does nothing.  If anyone runs across any quirks, or errors let me know, I will hopefully be able to get phase 2 out this weekend also, but that all depends on how much free time I have.

As usual if you have any ideas now that you are starting to see the management system, let me know and I will try to fit them in as I create it.

NOTE: The update was purely server side, there are no new proxies or new auth server, so no need to re-download those.

Also I am having some more issues with the blog acting weird since I am trying to integrate it from the blogger site, if you have any issues just view it on the blogger site for now at: mineshaftersquared.blogger.com

Quick note about deleting skins.  Right now when you delete a skin the file is still on my server.  I did not get around to writing the script that actually deletes the file when you delete a skin.  So if you accidentally delete a skin email me and I can re enable it for you.  Also if you want a skin absolutely permanently deleted, also email me and I will delete the file off of the server manually.

Update on Skin Management

So now that I have a few other things cleaned up I will start to work heavily on the skins management feature.  So far I am planning on including the ability to set a skin as private or public and organize them into groups.  Along with that I want to include a gallery to view all of the public skins so it is easier to find / use new skins.

If you have any other ideas on how to manage skins then comment on this post or stop by the forums.  Either way make sure you voice your idea.  Since will be developing it heavily, now is the time to let me know what extra features you want.  If I can not build them in from the start, then I will be able to design the code so it is easy to add the features in later.

First Post

Alright, well I successfully integrated a blogger blog into the site.  Things may not be perfect, some links will bring you to the blogger site, but its good enough for now.  The blogger site is mineshaftersquared.blogger.com.  I am doing my best to keep it fully integrated into the main site, but if anything weird happens, then try the blogger site.  I will be playing with the styling a bit so if you see something you like, let me know!

That is all for now.  This blog will have the latest updates dealing with MineshafterSquared, so stay tuned.
